Bean Bags

I want to buy some large bean bags for our living room and I want colorful ones! Hahaha…been trying to be more “kikay”. It feels good when you sit there watch dvd or chat with friends. It’s very comfortable and of course the price is very reasonable. Those are some of the important things to consider. The next question is, how am I gonna bring them to the Philippines?!?!? It’s quite bulky! The other option is just to buy there.

A Good One

My friend who works in a car dealer company and who is also very fond of cars mentioned about this powerstop truck brake pad kit. Of course, being a woman who doesn’t know much about cars, I just said “ah, ok” and that’s it hahaha! I think my friend realized that I can’t relate to the topic (not that I am not interested) so he changed it. We talked about movies instead. And there was the good conversation begun. A lot of inspiring stories came out and it was such a nice bonding moment with a very good friend.

Excited for the Movie

Most of my friends here in Singapore have already watched the Avengers these past couple of days. It’s ironic because I booked the ticket on April 27 and we’re gonna watch it on the 6th of May which is Sunday, hahaha! Well, that’s because I though I’m gonna come to work on May 1st and the weekend prior to that was the surprise bday party for my bentots. And May 5 is Irene and Arie’s pre-nup photoshoot. So, May 6 is the best day to watch hahaha! And we’re going to church after the movie. Then buy some pasalubong, perfume and stuff maybe in the evening or the next day because it’s a holiday again! weee…

CPA Network

These past few weeks I have been browsing and searching for various CPA organizations worldwide where I can possibly join and be a member of. I want to be a member of the best cpa network, who doesn’t want to?!?! Hehehe…well, I have been experiencing quite a tough competition here in Singapore and I feel that I really have to continue upgrading my skills and credential in order to build a nice career here. So, I’m considering every possibility and opportunity.

Another Holiday

I am so excited for my friend’s upcoming wedding this May. Both Rodel and I will be part of the entourage. We will be there for quite a short while (three days) because we don’t have enough PTOs anymore. Anyway, we are thinking on what to buy for our relatives back in the Philippines. I was suggesting perdomo cigars for the uncles who smoke. Well, of course not much of it…just wanted them to try and experience (if in case they haven’t yet). Let’s see if something else will pop into our minds. We still have 2 weeks to decide.

Beh,
Sa lahat ng mga bagay na itinuro mo sa akin mula nang tayo’y magkakilala, labis akong nagpapasalamat. Maraming salamat sa patuloy mong pagtuturo sa akin kung paano maging matatag lalo na sa pagharap sa buhay…kung paano maghintay sa tamang panahon para sa maraming bagay…kung paano kalimutan at wag balikan ang sakit at di magagandang pangyayaring dulot ng nakaraan…bagkus ay harapin ang buhay kung anong meron sa kasalukuyan at panghandaan ang para sa hinaharap. Konting tyaga pa, matututunan ko rin ang mga bagay na ito parang kagaya lang ng pagluluto at mga gawaing bahay na napakahirap para sa akin na gawin noon. Pero ngayon, nagiging natural na pang-araw araw na gawain na lang. Hindi naman pala ganun kahirap. J
Sa pagbibigay mo ng ngiti sa aking mga labi at sa panahon ng aking pagluha, sa hirap at ginhawa, sa mga tagumpay at kabiguan, sa kaligayahan at kalungkutan, sa lahat ng ating mga pinagdaanan at mga pagdadaanan habang kaagapay natin ang isa’t isa…ako’y labis na nagpapasalamat sa Poong Maykapal dahil ibinigay ka Nya sa akin sa panahong ang puso ko’y tila sumuko nang magmahal. Alam kong hindi madali mag-adjust para sa atin dahil kabaliktaran natin ang isa’t isa pero na-aappreciate ko yung mga efforts mo kahit alam ko na minsan napipilitan ka lang para mapagbigyan ako.
Sana, sa aking simpleng regalong ito para sa iyong kaarawan ay mapaalalahanan tayo na ibigay ang lahat ng ating makakaya upang maging masaya at makabuluhan ang mga oras na tayo ay magkasama…lumikha ng magagandang alaala at kasaysayan na ating babalik-balikan kung tayo ay matanda na.
Maligayang Kaarawan sa’yo Bebe Ko…Bentots Ko…Habibi Ko! Nawa’y pagpalain at ingatan ka ng ating Panginoon. Nawa’y pagpalain Nya ang ating mga plano sa buhay at nawa’y matupad natin ang ating mga pangarap nang magkasama.

Lamp

I want to buy a new led lightbulb for my lampshade inside my room. I better go to IKEA one of these days, OH! maybe this coming weekend. I’m so lazy to go out today because I was so tired yesterday. Woke up at 5:30am for my IELTS test and been out the whole day. Rodel fetched me and waited for me until I finished the speaking test at about 2:30pm (without having lunch). We had a very late lunch which was about 3:45pm before the start of the movie called Battleship at GV Tiong Bahru. Though it’s tiring, it’s also a happy time together. Was just a bit sad because he got cough and wasn’t feeling well when he went home last night. I gave him some medicine (paracetamol) and salonpas patches. Also, he bought back some of my “ginanga” which I cooked the other day. I hope he’ll like it! Hopefully he’ll get well today so we can hear mass together in the afternoon. It’s his birthday tomorrow so I want him to really get better. I don’t want him to be sick on his special day.

Electricity

Talking about electricity this time. I am not an Electrical Engineer so bare with me if the information that I’m going to give you isn’t that complete. I just had to do this one for the benefit of “me”. Hahaha…some of you would probably know why. Atkinson cycle engine according to Wikipedia, is a type of internal combustion engine invented by James Atkinson in 1882 (so that’s where the name originated). The atkinson cycle is designed to provide efficiency at the expense of power density, and is used in some modern hybrid electric applications. Oh, thanks to this information wikipedia. Holiday

Memories of our Hongkong adventures are still very vivid to me. I was with two of my very good friends Leizl and Kath. I even wanted to come back given another opportunity, when time and money permits and with my Bentots of course. I was thinking if there are homes near Disney World where we can stay for like a week or two. It would be more convenient for us to stay in the city or somewhere near the nice attractions and places to visit. Hmmm…better do some more research and ask some friends.
